How Community Involvement Helps to Keep Our Staffing Agencies Grounded

One of the unique advantages of RHM’s fun and collaborative work culture means we have the opportunity to change lives in more ways than one. At the office, we’re working to make a difference in people’s lives by matching them with great jobs that match their wants and needs. But in our volunteer time, we can make a difference with community involvement events that help build stronger communities and keep our team grounded in the areas in which we serve.

Read on for some of our takeaways from our most recent volunteer events and how community involvement is a vital component in making our staffing agency one of the best places to work in the Midwest!

Why Community Involvement is More Important Than Ever

These days, the non-profits, charities, and community organizations working to assist our disadvantaged and underrepresented communities need all the help they can get. While there are always great opportunities to donate financially to a cause that resonates with you, we’ve found that volunteering our time and ability can make a unique impact.

The time we spend volunteering our time can have a compounding effect. There’s the potential to help our partners make a difference and really advance their objectives, but also, these volunteering events can change us and help us gain first-hand experience of what goes into the programs and initiatives that work to lift up our less fortunate communities.

Currently, there are over 1.8 million active non-profits in the United States with volunteer needs. And the needs these days are significant. With lingering challenges from the COVID pandemic to increasing inflating adding additional hardships on everyday needs, taking the time to volunteer today can make a significant difference.

Some of RHM’s Most Recent Community Involvement Events

RHM partners with several organizations throughout the Midwest who are working hard to create fun and effective events that can drive meaningful community involvement and make a big impact:

How Volunteering Can Help Our Recruiters Provide Better Service

Our company is committed to partnering with and helping organizations that are doing great work to serve those in need and who may have limited access to resources. Volunteering our time and workforce to further their good work is the best we know how to live into our responsibility to give back to our community.

Of course, it feels great to volunteer our time and to know that—even if on a small level—we’re helping to make a difference. But also, representing RHM in our community helps us gain better exposure to what matters the most in the cities our agencies serve. From Indianapolis to Nashville, we’re learning from the people who know best, where the most needs are, and the immediate concerns of our communities.

As recruiters for these regions, a critical part of our recruiting strategy is knowing what matters most to those we serve. And while we can uncover a lot in our interviews and fact-finding conversations with our candidates, there’s nothing quite like working with our non-profit partners to help us better understand the needs and priorities of our communities.
